After a day full of tension in Oasis Park Fuerteventura, we began to assume everything that happened here. This morning we suffered a leak of our family of three chimpanzees, and the team has implemented the emergency protocol calmly and efficiently.
The most important thing for us was to ensure that all visitors who were in Oasis Park Fuerteventura were safe, and in this sense, we want to thank all our employees for having carried out their work so masterfully. Without them, all this would not have been possible.
The three affected workers are fortunately safe. One of them has been transferred to Las Palmas due to the severity of the injuries. It's embraced by his family and the park property and we are waiting the next medical.
Moreover, the surgery that has been subjected Cheeta just concluded. She is now recovering from the anesthesia. A team of surgeons specialists in primates will visit Cheeta tomorrow to assess the situation and evaluate the possibilities.
We will constantly inform you of all the news about the situation and conclude this day with great sadness but fighting, because our animals and workers deserve it.
Thank you all for your support and your encouragement. We feel really sad about losing King and Felipa, two animals who have shared with us 30 years. We hope they'll rest in peace and we promise that we will fight to succeed Cheeta.
But above all, we stay calm now and motivation to convey our best wishes for a speedy recovery to our friend and partner. We are with him and looking forward to hug him soon.
