In November 2014 Oasis Park Fuerteventura and the Foundation "Plant for the Planet" gave inaugurated the first official academy on the island, bearing the name of Fuerteventura around the world thanks to the initiative of the German boy, creator of the organization, Felix Finkbeiner 13 years old.
This weekend after four months of preparation Oasis Park Fuerteventura has been reconvened young people from the island for free activity of planting more than 80 native plants, for them has had private companies such as Padilla supermarkets, and schools as Pájara, Costa Calma and have brought together 170 children who want to be future ambassadors of nature and participate in the new and unique school for ambassadors Plant for the Planet in Fuerteventura island.
Dorothea Sick-This patron of the Plant for The Planet Foundation came from Germany to officially inaugurate the second academy on the island and strengthen ties with new companies that have entered this great project for nature.
Rick Trebin a young boy from Fuerteventura municipality of Betancuria has been elected by the foundation as the new ambassador of the Fuerteventura island, now Rick's mission is to form himself and educate other children with the purpose of getting more ambassadors of justice against climat change .
The Foundation, which is represented in over 90 countries, highlights the stay of the representatives of the foundation on the island and commends the work of Oasis Park Fuerteventura in its commitment to initiatives as the planting of 2,000 tabaibas in the projection of Fuerteventura as a tourist destination concerned about the environment and the opening of a school workshop, which will offer the weekends in their classrooms free training of young ambassadors, making participate to all companies on the island that may have Oasis Park academy for the staffs children, as reported education director of Oasis Park Guacimara Cabrera.
Besides the 170 children from the municipality of Pájara and Tuineje, have been present business owners on the island as Luis Mesa from Verde Aurora farm.
The message Felix Finkbeiner, founder of the foundation "has not only captured millions of children and young people around the planet which has also been able to attract the attention of politicians and celebrities" during his career as a founder.
Oasis Park Fuerteventura has managed to steer a project that creates base in the young, who are the promises of tomorrow. The day of school for a whole day full of activities, games and plantations, accompanied by mental exercises where children exposed by themselves to the rest of their teammates their proposals to solve current problems such as cutting of trees or atmosphere pollution.
Oasis Park Fuerteventura has closed this second meeting with a flourish by increasing the number of children interested, from 70 children in its first academy, 170 children in this second and has made clear its intention to continue this great project and little by little be increasing the number of schools on the island to create a sustainable future.
